The Enchanted Village is one of our favorite New England holiday attractions, but due to COVID-19, the popular tradition won’t be taking place this year.
“To ensure your family stays safe and healthy, The Enchanted Village will be closed this holiday season due to COVID-19,” event organizers said. “Keep your memories of this annual New England tradition alive by enjoying delicious Jordan’s Furniture blueberry muffins, now available at the atrium J-Café in our Avon store only.”
The good news is the event is scheduled to return next year when organizers hope things will be safe again.
“We look forward to welcoming you back next year [2021],” organizers said.
While this year’s Enchanted Village won’t be taking place, you can read on below to learn more about the history of this great local tradition.
About The Enchanted Village
With over 8,000 sq. ft. of holiday scenes, animated figurines, an indoor skating rink, laser light shows, and Christmas decor, The Enchanted Village is a popular annual attraction that brings in visitors from all across the area.
The village dates back several decades and was formerly on display each year at the old Jordan Marsh Department Store until it went away in 2006. Fortunately, Jordan’s Furniture was able to recover the display at an auction in 2009 and brought back the tradition to the area. It’s a beloved holiday attraction by older and younger generations alike, and its rich history makes it one of Boston’s best places to get in the holiday spirit!
The Enchanted Village Dates & Hours
The Enchanted Village typically runs from late November through the end of the year. However, it will not be open for 2020.
The Enchanted Village Admission
Admission to the Enchanted Village has always been free in previous years and is only available at the Jordan’s Furniture Avon location. We expect that to be the case when the holiday display returns in 2021!
