thanksgiving volunteer opportunities dfw

Thanksgiving is a time to give back. We know the good people of Dallas and Fort Worth are always looking for ways to give thanks and give back to their community. We’ve made a list of upcoming events where volunteers are needed. Most of the time, you can get a free meal but you always leave with a full heart.

Check out these ways to Volunteer for Thanksgiving in DFW:

Community Thanksgiving Lunch– Saturday, November 23

This lunch is open to the public but they ask that you stay afterwards to help sort clothing. The clothing is to be sorted for another free charity event the next day.

Feeding the Family at The City– Wednesday, November 27

Impact City Church is hosting a food giveaway for the holiday. They will need assistance passing out food and groceries to those in need.

Community Thanksgiving– Wednesday, November 27 & Thursday, November 28

The Inspired to Live Church is hosting a community Thanksgiving lunch for anyone who doesn’t want to eat alone. They’re putting it on for two days and they need both attendees, donations, and volunteers.

Family Thanksgiving Meal– Thursday, November 28

Help serve a free, warm meal to individuals and families in need at the Joshua for Christ Church. Spread the word and sign up to volunteer.

Our Calling– Thursday, November 28

This church is hosting a traditional Thanksgiving celebration featuring dinner, pie, and coffee. They are still in need of assistance with sorting, cleaning, parking, and more.

3rd Annual A Homeless Thanksgiving– Thursday, November 28

Help spread cheer, serve, and show love to others by volunteering at this Thanksgiving Celebration. Both donations and volunteers are needed.

Thanksgiving Day Celebration– Thursday, November 28

The Center for Spiritual Living is hosting a community worship and lunch. Bring your own side dish or entree to share. They will also need kitchen helpers.
