1. The Greater Boston Food Bank

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) provides high-quality, nutritional, and hygienic food to local food pantries, community health centers, and other community partners, enabling them to deliver nutritious food and meals to people in need. Volunteering with GBFB is a terrific way to support the organization’s objective of ending hunger in Eastern Massachusetts. Individuals or groups may volunteer to assist in the preparation of food for delivery.

2. Boston Cares

3. The Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy

The Rose F. Kennedy Greenway is a public garden park located over a highway tunnel in the center of Boston. This 1.5-mile Greenway is maintained, planned, funded, and improved by the conservancy. Working on monthly outside initiatives with the conservancy’s horticulture crew is the most common volunteer activity. Volunteering is also possible via the Art Ambassador Volunteer Program as well as the Play Ambassador Volunteer Program.

The Special Olympics Massachusetts program offers year-round sports training and competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This group is committed to promoting inclusion and improving public perceptions of people with intellectual disabilities. 7. MSPCA Angell

As part of their mission at MSPCA-Angell, they truly think that it is a privilege to do things that make a tremendous real difference to animal life and their customers.

The MSPCA is dedicated to making each volunteer’s experience enjoyable and fruitful. The volunteering prospects for individuals over the age of 16 include Advocacy/Legislative Affairs Volunteer, Angell Animal Medical Center Volunteer in Boston, Boston Adoption Center Volunteer, Nevins Farm Adoption Center Volunteer, Cape Cod Adoption Center Volunteer, and MSPCA-Angell West Hospital Volunteer.

Humane Education is available to children under the age of 16. The MSPCA aims at promoting critical thinking in kids to develop a self-initiated system of humanitarian ethics that will allow them to choose what is suitable and what is not.

826 Boston is a not-for-profit organization that encourages traditionally underserved children to discover their voices, share their experiences, and develop communication skills that will help them succeed in both school and life. A Writers’ Room, an independent classroom inside a Boston Public School, facilitates a culture of creativity as well as writing for a complete school community, is one initiative 826 Boston is growing.

A lot of efforts have been made by the Jimmy Fund since it was founded in 1948 to help cancer patients and save lives. In the fight against cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Jimmy Fund raises funds and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients everywhere. The Jimmy Fund offers a variety of ways for people to get involved with the organization, including volunteering at the Jimmy Fund events, starting their own events, organizing golf tournaments, donating blood, donating platelets, and donating bone marrow.
