The Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo is the world’s only year-round rodeo, offering performances each Friday and Saturday night at the historic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth. The two-hour show is dedicated to preserving the authentic cowboy lifestyle that has made Texas so unique throughout its history.
The Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo is fun for the whole family and is consistently rated as one of the top children’s events in the DFW area. The two-hour rodeo features classic bull riding and tie down roping, barrel racing, bronc riding, breakaway roping, plus calf and mutton scrambles with prizes for the kids.

Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo Dates
The rodeo runs year round each Friday and Saturday night. It’s one of the best things to do on the weekend in DFW. Doors open at 6:30 and the Rodeo events start at 8:00 pm and generally run for two hours.
Following the rodeo, Billy Bob’s Texas next door to the coliseum hosts live music each Friday and Saturday night starting at 10:30 pm.
Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo Tickets
Tickets to the Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo can be purchased online or over the phone.
Adult admission starts at $23.50, while children between 4 and 12 years old are just $13.50. Children 3 and under are always free. Reserved box seats start at $28.50 for all ages, and VIP seats upstairs in the bar start at $28.50 and offer the chance to purchase mixed drinks.
An ADA wheelchair accessible area with a wheelchair lift is available. Contact the Box Office at (817) 625-1025 to reserve these seats.
Ways to Save
One of the best ways to save on tickets to the Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo is through the family four pack. For just $40, families can get two adult general admission tickets and two child general admission tickets for a total savings of close to $30.
Seniors aged 60 and up can receive discount admission of just $18.50 with presentation of valid ID.
Holidays in the Stockyards
The Stockyards host various holiday events throughout the year. There’s plenty of holiday fun to be had with an Old West twist. Popular events include:
- Christmas in the Stockyards- This event takes place on a Saturday in December from 2-6 pm. It usually includes a cowboy Santa, tree lighting, and more.
- Thanksgiving Weekend in the Stockyards- This weekend long celebration often butts up against December, making it a great way to start Christmas festivities.
- Halloween in the Stockyards- Treat Street is trick or treat fun for the whole family with games, costume contests, and more.
- Easter Egg Hunt- Held in April on a Saturday, this free event includes an egg hunt, Easter Bunny, and more.
