Since I started this blog, I’ve had so many people ask me, “Where do you go to get your coupons and learn about discounts?” My answer…”A lot of places.” There is really no one single site on the Web that does it all with regards to discount shopping. But here are some of my favorites:
RetailMeNot. RetailMeNot is probably the best coupon code site out there, if you’re doing online shopping. Just go to the site, put in the website you’re shopping at, and coupon codes pop up. (Some companies, like Harry & David, forbid their codes from being posted on RetailMeNot, so your mileage may vary.)
Slickdeals. For brick-and-mortar grocery and drugstore shopping, the forums at Slickdeals.net have the scoop on sales and freebies at Walgreens, CVS, Kroger and more. It takes a little time to learn the lingo on these boards, so read thoroughly before posting a question – there’s hardly an aspect of deal shopping that hasn’t been discussed there, and regulars aren’t shy about letting you know if you ask something that’s been asked a hundred times before.
Smartsource. Smartsource is a great site for printable coupons. Remember that you can print most coupons at least twice before your limit is reached. If it’s a product you like and buy regularly, print as many as you can, because once enough people print it, the coupon is pulled from the site.
Redplum. RedPlum is the company that brings you the newspaper coupon inserts on Sundays, but they’ve also got an online presence featuring some of the best shopping deals. They’ve also got a limited number of printable coupons.
Coupons.com. This is probably the best printable coupon site of them all. I like them because new coupons are constantly added – I check it just about every day to see what new deals I can print. If you’d like to check them out, click the box just below this post that says “Save Big With Name Brand Coupons!” This will take you to the site, where you can create a free account, or just print without signing up. (If you’re on the homepage, you can find the same box about halfway down the page near my Twitter icon.)
And, as always, I love getting deal tips from my readers! Email me or leave a comment if you want me to know about a super deal.
