Alice Walker’s 1982 Pulitzer prize-winning novel is about Celie, an African-American woman in the American South during the early 1900s. Celie must struggle through abusive relationships, lost family, and her spirituality. Spielberg adapted the novel to a film in 1985, and in 2005 was made into a Broadway musical.
The Color Purple Musical features a joyous Grammy-winning score of jazz, ragtime, gospel, and blues. It has earned 15 Tony award nominations including the 2016 win for “Best Revival of a Musical.” The New York Times has called The Color Purple Musical “ravishingly reconceived production that is a glory to behold.”

You may purchase parking in advance through the Box Office, up to two hours before curtain; on the AT&T Performing Arts Center website, up to the day prior to the performance; or at the gate prior to an event, with cash or credit card. Event parking is available to all guests at the following rates:
