Bring the whole family out to Evans Avenue Plaza in Fort Worth on Saturday, Oct. 6 for the Tarrant County Harambee Festival. This family- and kid-friendly festival is free, and is named for the Swahili word for “let’s pull together.” There’s plenty to do, too – at 9 a.m., things will get started with a parade. Then at 10:30 a.m., you can attend an anti-bullying rally in the Plaza, co-sponsored by the Fort Worth ISD. Plus, there’s live entertainment on two stages – R&B guitarist Tutu Jones and singer Sheran Goodspeed Keyton are two of the performers.
Throughout the day until 8 p.m., there will also be food vendors, a Kids’ Zone, and a wellness expo in the nearby Ella Mae Shamblee Library.
Evans Avenue Plaza is at Evans and Rosedale streets in Fort Worth.
