Mark your calendars — Saturday, April 13, 2019 is the 18th Annual Spring Into Nash, a free signature event held at Nash Farm in Grapevine. It’s the perfect event for getting a glimpse at what life was like when the city was first settled and to learn how to live like a pioneer. There’s a ton of fun to be had for the whole family!
Events take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities this year will include heritage toys, kitchen gardening, cotton planting, farm animals, wagon rides, wood carving demonstrations, jump rope making, wood stove cooking, and blacksmith demonstrations. It’s a great opportunity for the whole family to experience farm life while doing some engaging hands-on activities.
Nash Farm is a 5.2-acre historical landmark that celebrates the heritage of Grapevine and life as it used to be on the Texas prairie. If you’ve never visited the farm, this is one of their biggest events of the year so it’s a great chance to explore the grounds.
Registration is not required and all ages are encouraged to attend. Coupons can be purchased for activities that require a fee. Concessions are also available.
Nash Farm is at 626 Ball St. in Grapevine. Overflow parking can be accessed at the nearby Cannon Elementary and the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.
