On Saturday, June 2, the Botanical Research Institute of Texas will host its monthly Science Saturday event, held on the first weekend of each month. During this event, BRIT botanists will be on hand to identify the mysterious plants you’ve discovered in your backyard. There will also be demonstrations of BRIT’s digital herbarium, guided tours of the herbarium and library (at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) and more. You can also check out their exhibit hall and numerous gardens. Kids may enjoy exploring the Burk Children’s Library, full of kid-friendly botany books.
Science Saturdays are held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
BRIT is at 1700 University Drive in Fort Worth.
