What: A workshop for kids in the ages 6-12 who can get their favorite adults along to learn about the artist Juan Gris by examining the paintings on display in the museum’s ongoing the exhibit, Cubism in Color: The Still Life of Juan Gris. Children can also create their own artworks inspired from his work.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth: FOCUS: Wael Shawky
What: This new exhibit at the museum displays the works of artist Wael Shawky which include a film from his trilogy, Cabaret Crusades accompanied by related artworks and sculptures. Shawky is based out of Egypt, Alexandria and Philadelphia, historic countries which form the subject matter of his works. He mixes truth and fiction in a way that raises questions about the role of history in modern society. Members can also attend the opening celebration of the exhibit.

What: If you are crazy about sculpture and crafts, this workshop is just the place for you. The virtual event is a fun activity, especially for kids who can just sit at their laptops with a sheet of paper to draw on and create something beautiful.
