ABOUT THE KIMBELL ART MUSEUM
The Kimbell Art Museum opened its doors to the public on October 4, 1972. It is run by the Kimbell Art Foundation which was established in 1936 by founders Kay and Velma Kimbell along with some of their relatives. The foundation initially collected mostly British and French portraits of the 18th and 19th centuries. Since then, the collection has grown to over 350 works, all of significant importance, and available for the public to see today.
The impressive collection of the museum includes works of art such as portraits, figures, sculptures, and more. The art is not only found inside the museum but also in the buildings themselves. The Kimbell Art Museum was designed by Louis Kahn and is widely regarded as one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the modern era.

The general admission to the Museum is always free but entry to the special exhibits require tickets. While there isn’t much need for Kimbell Art Museum coupons, there are some ways you can get discounts.
The ticket to their special exhibition starts at $18 for adults. Seniors and Students with valid ID can get in for $2 off. Children ages 6-11 can get in for just $14 while children 6 and under are free.
Additionally, groups of 10 or more are discounted when they visit the museum on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
