It’s almost time for the big return to school – and that usually means haircuts! This year, I accomplished this task for one of my sons by taking him to Cool Cuts 4 Kids, a kid-friendly hair salon on Hulen St. in Fort Worth. Usually, I take my kids to a regular old sports-themed haircut place, and if there is a line, I spend most of my time trying to keep them entertained. But Cool Cuts 4 Kids has already thought ahead, and filled their salon with plenty of stuff to keep youngsters occupied while they wait for their turn. The store in Fort Worth has a train table in the lobby with plenty of trains, plus a TV playing kid-friendly shows. Older kids can enjoy the video-game systems they have against the far wall.
When our turn arrived, my son thought it was quite fun to sit in the chairs, which are made to look like fire engines and cars. They also have TVs in front of each chair, and kids can pick from a selection of DVDs. Our stylist was great, but Patrick still looked pretty unsure:
