Barnes & Noble wants your school-age child to read this summer. To give them a little extra incentive, they’ve started a Summer Reading program. Just download their reading journal (PDF; link here) and make a note on it every time your kids read a book. When they’ve read 8 books, you can bring the journal in to any Barnes & Noble and choose a FREE book from their pre-selected list of titles. (This is only for kids in grades 1 through 6.) Barnes & Noble will start accepting completed journals on May 26, so have your children start theirs now. Kids who turn in completed journals will also be entered for a chance to win an autographed Percy Jackson novel.
Half-Price Books, HEB and several other companies are also holding summer reading programs. Visit this post at Freebies4Mom to find out more.
