Next week is the official kickoff of Rockin’ the River, a free series of concerts that take place this summer along the Trinity at Panther Island Pavilion. You can listen to live music, tube in the river and enjoy a fireworks show after the music is over. The schedule of concerts is as follows:
June 16 — The Damn Quails, Joey Green Band.
June 23 — Prophets and Outlaws, Erick Willis.
June 30 — Eleven Hundred Springs, Larry Hooper.
July 7 — Dalton Domino, Austin Meade.
July 14 — Dolly Shine, Grady Spencer.
July 21 — Parker McCollum, Chance Anderson.
July 28 —Zane Williams, Ray Johnston Band.
Aug. 4 — Midnight River Choir, Troy Cartwright.
Aug. 11 — Dirty River Boys, Cody Bryan Band.
Aug. 13 — This Saturday event will serve as the series finale and will feature Cooder Graw, Statesboro Revue, Aaron Einhouse, Red Shahan and Austin Allsup.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. each Thursday. At 6:45 p.m., the headliner takes the Coors Waterfront Stage. At 8:30 p.m. the after-party band plays on the South Shore Stage, and the festivities end at dark with a fireworks show. Guests can bring a blanket and chairs or enjoy front-row seats from the comfort of a tube. (Bring your own tube or rent one from the Pavilion for $6 with a $2 refundable deposit.)
