stockshowlogoThe Fort Worth Stock Show is running through Feb. 7. At $8 for general adult admission, it’s already a pretty cheap event. But if you belong to a few select groups of people, you can get into the Stock Show for free.

On Jan. 29, the Stock Show will sponsor “Boy Scout Day” – all Scouts in uniform will receive free grounds admission. Then Feb. 1 is “Military Day” – all active and retired military personnel, plus their families, will receive free grounds admission, plus rodeo tickets. (The website doesn’t specify, but if you decide to take advantage of this one, I’d bring a military ID, just in case.)

Not everyone will be able to get into the Stock Show for free, but there are a few other ways to get discounts on tickets. Every Friday for the duration of the show, senior citizens will be admitted for just $4. If you’re a Star-Telegram Press Pass holder, you can also get discounts on admission and rodeo tickets; see here for details.
