What is the Fort Worth Parade of Lights?
The Fort Worth Parade of Lights is a signature holiday event that features over 100 illuminated floats, massive balloons, and about half-a-million lights. The parade lights up the streets of downtown Fort Worth and brings the holiday spirit to everyone in attendance.
New this year are “Sounds of the Season” shows where local entertainers will go block-to-block on moving platforms performing 15-minute sets.
The event is entering its 37th year, and it’s grown quite a bit over the years. When it first started back in 1983, there were only 25 floats and a crowd of around 25,000 people.
Today, it’s the biggest holiday parade in the state, attracting huge crowds. It’s sure to be one of the best things to do in DFW this weekend.

The 2019 Fort Worth Parade of Lights is Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 6 pm. The “Sounds of the Season” performances will kick off earlier at 4:30 pm and run throughout the parade.
