Event: Dallas International Film FestivalIf you’re a film buff, be sure to attend the Dallas International Film Festival this weekend and next week. It kicked off today, April 9, but tickets are still available for showings through the last night of the festival – the 18th. Hurry, as the most popular movies will sell out quickly! Some only have last-minute “Rush” tickets available.

Tickets are $10 apiece. To see the schedule and which showings still have available tickets, go here. Most take place at the Angelika and the Landmark Magnolia, both in Dallas. See a list of descriptions of the films that will be shown.

If you have kids, you can take them to the Dallas Museum of Art on April 11 for the Sor Juana Family Celebration, a free family-friendly activity that includes free things for kids to do, live mariachi music, and free film showings of the movies Up and Alabama Moon. For details, go here.
