This Saturday, July 5, is yet another First Saturday at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. These family-friendly events are fun, educational, and FREE! The hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This weekend’s theme is “Dive in at BRIT.” Join BRIT as they make a splash and dive into the wonder of all things water. Explore how BRIT is conserving water by partaking in several ongoing and scheduled activities such as the Children and Family Water Exploration, and the First People’s Garden Walk and Talk with Dr. Grace Bascope. Or come inside and talk with students from the Green Revolution program and see how they are making an impact in our local community.
In addition to their free programs, there will also be a Farmer’s Market. The market features a variety of fresh, seasonal produce from farms and community gardens located in and around Fort Worth, as well as artisanal items like honey and baked goods.
