The North Texas Irish Festival is scheduled for March 5-7 at Fair Park in Dallas. Tickets range anywhere from $10 to $30 (for an all-weekend pass), but you can get discounts, or even free tickets. Here’s how:
Get there early. OnFriday, March 5, if you show up anytime from 6-7 p.m., you can get in free. Yep, free. It pays to be early!
Go Friday. Tickets are only $10 on Friday, compared to Saturday and Sunday, when tickets are $15.
Stop by Tom Thumb. You can get a $1 discount on Saturday or Sunday tickets by buying them at your local Tom Thumb grocery store ahead of time.
Peruse the website. The festival’s site (www.ntif.org) claims that they have 50% discount coupons for Friday tickets on their site from time to time, so check it out and see if you get lucky.
Be a senior or student. Those 55 and up, and students with valid ID, can get in for $10 per day.
Use other various discounts. City of Dallas employees, DART employees, and KERA members all get $2 off admission.
Follow them on Facebook. No guarantees, but if you become a fan on Facebook you might get notice of some specials before anyone else.
Group discounts are also available; call them for details. To purchase tickets online, see their ticket page.
You can also get in free if you volunteer. There are a lot of volunteer positions. See the website for details.
