Earlier in the year, the coronavirus pandemic effectively changed the face of entertainment. Movie theaters, restaurants, and most other locations were shut down. Things are opening back up, but for some businesses it’s slow going. With social distancing being a major focus, it’s allowed drive-in theaters to experience a resurgence. These open-air setups allow you to enjoy a movie from the comfort of your car while maintaining a safe social distance from other movie fans.
The Dallas International Film Festival is getting in on the fun and will be offering drive-in movie nights at the Four Corners Brewing Co throughout the summer. Four Corners Brewing is located in the Cedars, south of downtown Dallas. The movies hosted by DIFF will be classic movies, starting with The Goonies.
Families will be able to come out to see The Goonies on June 24. Available parking is located outside the brewery. Movie fans will be able to watch available movies on a Samsung screen that is large enough to be watched comfortably from the parking area.
Parking space is limited. Gates open at 7 pm, so if you want to see the movie you will want to be on time to secure a spot. A $20 per car donation is suggested. Donations go to benefit DIFF, which has postponed the annual festival they planned for April 16-23, 2020.
Four Corners Brewing Co is located at 1311 S. Ervay St.
