Whether it’s cool or not, we know you’re ready for family photos, pumpkin carving, and all of the fall activities! This is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Dallas-Fort Worth and a pumpkin patch is a great way to spend the day.
Pick your own pumpkins, dress in all the sweaters, and get those photo-ops in! We’re looking up all of the very best pumpkin patches and pumpkin farms in and around DFW so you never have to leave the city to get your country in.
Please note that some of the usual Dallas-Fort Worth area pumpkin patches are closed this year due to a disease that has been ravaging the crop, so options may be a bit more limited than usual.

DALLAS PUMPKIN PATCHES
This year’s installation is It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown now through October 31. No one does pumpkin patches like the Dallas Arboretum so this is one you definitely do not want to miss. Admission ranges from $10 – $15 per person depending on age and kids under age 2 are free.
This free, outdoor Dallas pumpkin patch is open to the public for pumpkin picking and photo ops! Pumpkins are priced by size, feel free to bring your own cart!
This pumpkin patch is outside of Dallas but close enough for a fun afternoon! Open through Halloween, they have photo ops and pumpkins for sale.
Just outside of Richmond, Texas, this pumpkin patch is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm. Don’t forget your camera- in addition to picking out your own pumpkin, you will also have plenty of photo ops. They close on October 29.
Just outside of Rockwall, this pumpkin patch is great if you want to take a little drive for your pumpkins. They have farm animals, a pumpkin patch, photo ops, and more.
Grace UMC Pumpkins on the Prairie
Open now through October 31, this pumpkin patch is enormous with even bigger photo ops! There are even more pumpkins to choose from plus a schedule of other fun activities.
FORT WORTH PUMPKIN PATCHES
Pumpkin Nights at Howell Family Farms
From October 10 through November 3, this farm is open for special events, including Pumpkin Nights! General admission includes different activities every night from a live pumpkin artist, funnel cakes, bounce houses, local food vendors, and much more. Admission for adults is $20.
Open now through Halloween, this pumpkin patch features the Carriage Shop Antiques, oriental rugs, and family photos on the hill! Admission is always free.
GRAPEVINE PUMPKIN PATCHES
Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch at Double Oak Ranch
From October 1 – 31, this pumpkin patch supports local charities. You will enjoy hay rides, cornstalks, photo ops, local food vendors, baked goods, and refreshments for sale. All other activities are free but parking is just $5 – $10 per vehicle.
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze
This pick-your own pumpkin farm has pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes! Kids 3 and under are free, kids 4 – 11 are just $3 and everyone else is just $5! You’ll also enjoy their corn maze ($5) and hay rides ($5). The farm only takes cash so come prepared!
This indoor pumpkin patch in Bedford supports local food pantries, local growers, and schools. They have for sale pumpkins, sweets, treats, photo-ops and local vendors. Admission is free.
Grapevine First Methodist Pumpkin Patch
This pumpkin patch at Grapevine FMC is open every day with gourds as cheap as $1 and as much as $50! They are also having special events, including a trunk or treat!
ARLINGTON PUMPKIN PATCHES
This annual fundraiser is just $8 per person and admission includes games, crafts, and child-centered activities. You can also pick your own pumpkin! Take the free hayride “shuttle” to the entrance. Kids under 3 are free!
St. John the Apostle UMC Pumpkin Patch
This local church has been hosting a pumpkin patch for more than 25 years! They’re open now through Halloween for pumpkins and photo-ops. Admission is free, pumpkins are weighed by the pound.
The Woods United Methodist Church
This pumpkin patch is outside of Arlington, just South of Grand Prairie. They’re open: Sundays 1 – 7 pm, Monday – Friday 10 am – 7 pm. They are open through Halloween night. Admission is free, just pay for your pumpkins!
