utaLooking for something to do with the kids during these dog days of summer? Then head on over to the planetarium at the University of Texas at Arlington – they’ve got movies showing several times per week for just $2 per person. Sure, they’re not first-run, but your kids will love watching their favorites on the big screen. This week, there are three showings scheduled of The Incredibles – August 5 and 7 at 6 p.m., and Saturday, August 8 at 2:30 p.m. Next week, they’ve got Ratatouille on tap. If you’re into astronomy, the planetarium also has lots of stargazing-related shows during the week for the bargain price of just $5. Children under 18, non-UTA college students, and seniors get in for $4. UTA students pay $2. To see the current list of astronomy shows, go here.
