Earth Day is here – and so are the deals. Many retailers and manufacturers are celebrating by offering great deals on sustainable stuff! First on the list is Walgreens, which is offering a free reusable shopping bag with a coupon available at this link. You do have to make a purchase, but the coupon also offers you 15 percent off most items in the store and 20 percent off of all store brand items, so it’s not a bad deal at all. I have a couple of the Walgreens shopping bags and they are roomy and strong.

Reynolds is also offering a roll of its 100% recycled aluminum foil free. Go to this link to print a form that will enable you to get the foil free after rebate. But the form will only be available on the website today, so hurry and print! Make sure you purchase the foil by May 4.

Jones Soda fans are also in luck – if you visit the Jones website and pledge to incorporate some green practices into your life, you can get a BOGO coupon for a Jones soda.

If you’re a fashion maven, check out Green Grechen’s blog for apparel-related Earth Day specials.

Another cool deal: This is an ongoing special, but it’s green-ish so I thought it would be appropriate today: Wintersown.org offers packets of seeds for the cost of two envelopes and three stamps. Click this link and then click the “Gateway to the Seeds” link to begin a simple quiz and claim your seeds. I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and they included purple coneflower seeds, pepper seeds, tomato seeds and more. What a great (cheap) way to start your vegetable and flower gardens!

This one is courtesy of The Daily Green: Disney stores are offering a free reusable water bottle or a t-shirt when you bring in 3 empty plastic bottles. Click here to find your nearest Disney store.

Grow a tree: KIWI Magazine will plant a tree in your name today at no charge. Fill out this form to participate.

This is another ongoing deal. RadioShack is taking trade-ins on working electronics. Bring them in and you’ll get their value on a RadioShack gift card. Great opportunity, if you were just going to throw them out anyway. Not everything is accepted, but lots of stuff is, including mobile phones, camcorders, GPS receivers, MP3 players and more. Click this link to find out the details.

Another free bag deal (thanks Cha Ching Queen): HEB is giving away a reusable bag on April 22 to anyone who brings in 5 plastic shopping bags. We don’t have too many HEBs in North Texas, but a search of the website tells me that Cleburne, Stephenville, Waxahachie and Ennis all have them. Whole Foods also has an ongoing deal for a free lunch bag: Click here for the coupon.

Don’t forget that Brookshire’s is bagging all purchases of $25 or more in cloth bags from 5-9 p.m. today. Not a fantastic deal, but if you’re going there anyway…

I will add more deals throughout the day. Check this post often!
