ABOUT THE CAVANAUGH FLIGHT MUSEUM
The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is a non-profit aviation museum located at the Addison Airport that promotes aviation education, research and American aviation heritage. The aircraft collection in the museum began as the personal collection of businessman Jim Cavanaugh. The museum opened for the public in October 1993.
The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is home to a staggering 58 aircraft vehicles and growing. Their extensive collection of aircraft is one of the finest in the world. These airplanes are subdivided according the era they were used such as World War I, World War II, Korean War and 1950s, Vietnam War and 1960s and some civilian aircrafts.
The museum also has a collection of historic military trucks, weapons and civilian cars.
Aside from the aircraft displays, the museum also offers Warbird rides which flies over North Dallas.
Lastly, the museum has an online store where they sell airplane-printed shirts, memberships, and the Warbird Rides.
