Oh, how I wish I’d known about this one just a few weeks ago, when I was buying a new carseat! Right now, Babies “R” Us is holding a “Great Trade-In” promotion – bring in any used stroller, carseat, crib, high chair, playard, toddler bed or bassinet, and you can get 25 percent off regular retail on a new piece of baby gear from select brands. There is no limit to this promotion – you can trade in as many items as you want.
According to the BRU FAQ on the deal, you do not have to have purchased the old item from BRU, and you don’t have to have a receipt, either. The aim of this program is to get old and/or recalled baby items out of circulation, so kids don’t continue using them.
In the Westoplex, you can find Babies “R” Us at 5800 Overton Ridge Blvd. in Fort Worth, at 1309 W. Pipeline Rd. in Hurst, and at 1501 W. Arbrook in Arlington. There’s also a Toys “R” Us in White Settlement (7606 W. Freeway) that has a small Babies “R” Us section.
