The Arlington Museum of Art first opened its doors in 1952 to promote the wide range of human artistic expression to the DFW area. Today, the museum spans four full floors and serves as a cultural hub for the community, offering the public educational programming and access to the arts.
About the Arlington Museum of Art
The museum is a non-profit, non-collecting museum, meaning all of the works of art on display are on exhibition as opposed to in a private collection. Not maintaining a permanent collection means the museum can celebrate and display an ever-changing, diverse set of exhibitions and shows that span the full range of the arts. The museum hosts gallery talks, lectures, summer camps, and other ways for the DFW community to get involved with and learn more about the arts.
