With fall around the corner, many of us are seeking trails and paths to take in the fall foliage. Surprisingly, the Boston area does boast some scenic waterfalls. Keep an eye out for some of these sights on your next hike.
Danforth Falls, Hudson, MA
Approximately 45-minutes outside of the city, Danfort Falls is a small waterfall that’s surrounded by hiking and forest. To get to this cascading waterfall, it’s a quick 1.2 mile picturesque walk. Easy to get to with children, or if you don’t have the entire day to spend.
Bish Bash Falls, Mt. Washington, MA
Not only is this a fun name, but Bish Bash Falls is a stunning spot to enjoy a brisk swim in the many pools and soak in the views of the waterfall. One thing to note, is that it’s a popular spot, so it gets pretty busy on the weekends, so plan your trip accordingly!
Doane’s Falls, Royalston, MA
Not one, not two, but five cascading waterfalls situated on 46-acres of land. It’s an easy walk from a parking lot (free parking, may we add). The trail continuously follows the water, so no matter how long you’d like to walk for, you’ll always get a great view.
