You are now able to stream the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s “Concert For Our City” at home for free.
The concert was videotaped during a live performance in February at Symphony Hall and was part of a free February musical concert series. Unfortunately, the BSO was slated to perform on an East Asia tour, which was canceled due to COVID-19. Last month, the Boston Symphony Orchestra announced that they had canceled all performances in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Thomas Wilkins, BSO’s Artistic Advisor for Education and Community Engagement stated: “One of my most fundamental beliefs is that music provides a lifeline to inspiration, reflection, power, and beauty that deeply touches us and opens us up to new realms of possibilities that can give us a pause from the distractions of the difficulties of the world at large.”
And a very welcomed distraction this is. You can view the free concert via YouTube here and explore additional BSO At Home offerings on their website. The concert will be available until May 20th.
