During this time, many people are finding solace in listening to music – and now, your kids can get involved! Yesterday, Spotify announced a new app, “Spotify Kids” which is now available to listeners in the U.S.
The app allows kids to have their own listening platform, separate from the rest of the family. It’s kid-friendly and as much as you may enjoy KIDZ BOP from time to time, Spotify Kids won’t affect your own personal listening preferences.
Content for Spotify Kids is hand-selected by Spotify and includes soothing lullabies and bedtime stories from Disney and educational content (learn your ABC’s or best hygiene practices). Wondering what’s popular in the U.S.? Spotify Kids content is curated based on what’s popular in the country you live in.
Spotify is also in talks with big children brands, like KIDZ BOP, Nickelodeon, and Disney to enhance the program. Updates to content will be rolled out via the app.
The app, designed for children 12 and under, is exclusive to Spotify Premium Family subscribers, meaning that the service is ad-free. New to Premium? New subscribers can enjoy Spotify Premium for free for one month and afterward $14.99. Premium allows for up to six accounts.
