No car needed for this outdoor pop-up movie theater and all spots are reserved in a socially-distance

Enter: Moonrise Cinema, a brand new outdoor movie theater experience coming to the Seaport. The theater will begin showings this weekend at the 23 Drydock Avenue location.

Each ticket to the outdoor theater helps you reserve an 8×8 square foot, in order to help maintain social distancing. While chairs are included, attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

Upcoming movies this week include “Table 19” featuring Steve Carell, playing August 7th and 8th at 8:30 PM EST. Next week, “The Way Way Back” will be playing on August 14, 15, and 16th. Moonrise Cinema is open Fridays and Saturdays, with the occasional Sunday showing.

Tickets begin at $30 for a table and can hold up to six people per section. Your ticket also provides you complimentary popcorn from Fare Well restaurant.

Before checking in, have your ticket ready and your mask on. You’ll be able to take your mask off once seated. Additionally, no alcohol is permitted in the theater.
