About the Show
Jazz pianist Eric Mintel has a long list of impressive titles such as improviser, arranger, composer, and more. Mintel was born in Pennsylvania in 1967. As a child he began his musical journey early on, setting himself up to play Jazz at in his teenage years. In 1993 he formed his first group, performing at a range of events including, the United Nations, the White House, the Kennedy Center, and even performing as a featured guest on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz on NPR.
