It’s that time of year! Pumpkin-picking season is in full swing and some farms are even closing soon! Put on your boots, bring your bushels, and get ready to find the most worthy gourd!
Try checking out all of these local farms offering fresh produce, farm fun, and of course, pumpkins. These are great spots to take the kids for pumpkin patch pictures!
Here are our favorite pumpkin patches in Boston and the surrounding area:
Boston Hill Farm
This family-owned and operated farm in North Andover has apples and pumpkins in season for Fall. The fields are open every day and you can borrow one of their little red wagons as you go through their Boston pumpkin patch. Their store is also open year-round from 9 am to 6 pm daily.
Parlee Farms
This farm offers apples and pumpkins with varying hours. You can pick your own apples on Saturdays from 10 am to 4:30 pm until October 27. This Boston pumpkin patch is open every day except Monday. They also serve roasted corn on the weekends, a farm stand, a country kitchen, tractor training, a play maze, and much more.
Carver Hill Orchard
This family-run orchard in the heart of apple country offers an apple orchard, pumpkin patch, mum flowers, ice cream, cider, and more. They are open every day from 9 – 5.
Connor’s Farm
This farm in Danvers has a corn maze, dozens of farm games, pumpkin picking, and more. They’re open 7 days a week from 8 am to 6 pm.
Pakeen Farm
The fall harvest season is in full swing and here you can find pumpkins, mums, apples, cider, fresh mini donuts, and “the farmyard” with games and fun!
Crescent Farms
This farm is open every day of the week with varying hours. They offer a pumpkin patch, corn maze, animals, a hayride, donuts, and more.
Wards Berry Farm
Pick your own pumpkins, every day of the week. They also have hay rides, barnyard animals, and a farm store. They’re located in Sharon.
Hanson Farms
A fifth-generation farm located in Framingham. They have dozens of produce to choose from, pick your own pumpkins, a corn maze, haunted hayride, and more.
Nihtila Farm
This pumpkin patch is only open through October so you’ll need to visit soon! They have pick your own pumpkins, hayrides, and more. Bring cash- they don’t accept cards or check.
Belkin Family Lookout Farm
This farm is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm. You can pick your own apples, pears, and pumpkins. Admission includes train rides, hayrides, moon bounce, face painting, a playground, and more. Children are $17, adults are $20 and admission is cheaper during the week. Pick-Your-Own has an additional charge per bushel.
Smolak Farm
This working farm has something for everyone, including a pick your own pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch is open through Halloween, every weekend from 9 am to 5 pm. They also offer apples!
Tougas Family Farm
This second-generation family farm offers pick your own orchards and pumpkin patches. They also have a playground, farm stand, barnyard, wagon rides, food, and more.
