Boston 4th of July Events 2023
The City of Boston’s 246th Independence Day celebration
A short parade will step off from City Hall Plaza and pass the Granary Burial Ground, where wreaths will be laid on the graves of patriots. Want only the best Boston fourth of July events? The parade continues through Downtown Crossing to the Old State House where the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company will continue its tradition of reading of the Declaration of Independence from the balcony. Parade viewing will be available along the route and in Downtown Crossing.

4th of July in Newton: Kids Morning
Free event for children ages 3 – 12 years. Children and families are invited to join in the Patriotic Costume Parade, Grand Pet Promenade, Decorated Bicycle Parade, make a July 4th parade wand at the arts/crafts table, and more. FREE ice cream courtesy of Cabot’s Ice Cream. Kids Morning is canceled in the event of rain.

Hingham’s 4th of July Parade
The Parade will march rain or shine, but in case of a storm, the Hingham Police Department may call off the Parade. There is no rain date.

Sudbury 4th of July Parade!
Judging for the floats will begin at 12:00 pm. All floats need to be in position by noon and must incorporate the current theme into the overall design to be eligible for an award. We also ask that the theme title be displayed somewhere on the float.
The parade will start at 1:00 on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. As in years past, the parade will line up in Chiswick Park. We ask that you enter from Route 20, located diagonally across from CVS. The GPS address is 490 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. Once you have confirmed we will send you another email with directions, your assigned division, and a map of the parade route. July 4th Celebration in Newton 2023
Looking for a July 4th event? Free event for children ages 3 – 12 years. The fun continues with a carnival featuring kiddie amusement rides by Cushing Amusements, local business vendor booths, a handmade craft fair, live musical entertainment at the gazebo, and food trucks. Don’t miss the performance by Flying High Dogs at 1 pm in the field. You will be amazed at the agility and precision of these dogs who appear to sail through the air while catching flying objects!
