THE BEST PARKS IN DALLAS
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve– With over 200 acres, this park has everything you need. You can fish, hike, play on the playground, picnic, and much more. They also have wifi! It’s one of the best parks in Dallas.
Cedar Ridge Preserve– You won’t find any playgrounds here but this is one of the best places in DFW for hiking. The spectacular views, bridges, and trails will keep you entertained for hours. They also feature special gardens like the Butterfly Garden or the Garden of Five Senses.
Klyde Warren Park– This inner- city oasis is small but fierce. You’ll find group exercise classes, an awesome children’s playscape, a sprayground, public art, and live events.
Main Street Garden Park– This Downtown Dallas park makes the list because of its splash pad! They also offer frequent events and an oasis in the middle of downtown.
Prather Park– With miles of trails and bridges, you’ll enjoy seeing all of the natural beauty as well as public art. There is also a playground and waterside views.
Reverchon Park– This public park offers fields, gardens, trails, a playground, picnicking facilities, and much more. They’re home to some of Dallas’ favorite events!
Ronald Kirk Bridge– This pedestrian bridge has a climbing playscape, lounge chairs, frequent events, awesome people watching, ice cream carts, and more.
Turtle Creek Park– This park has spectacular water-side views, bridges, and statues. It’s a great Dallas park for photos and geocaching.
White Rock Lake– This huge lake has a variety of amenities, activities, and features. There is a playground, walking trails, boating, picnicking, a museum, and a dog park.
THE BEST PARKS IN GRAPEVINE
Dove Park– Two words: Zip line! This awesome Grapevine park has it all- a treehouse, slides, playground, splashpad, running trails, picnic areas, and more.
Founders’ Plaza– This park and observation area does not have a playground but it’s great for kids who love airplanes. And who doesn’t love airplanes?! There are picnic benches, telescopes, and control tower transmissions, plus you get to watch the planes land and take off!
Lakeview Park– The name says it all. Visit the playground while taking in lakeside views. Their playground is new and there are picnicking areas and restrooms nearby.
Meadowmere Park– Entry to this park is $5 per vehicle, or $1 for walk-ins and bikes. You’ll see why they charge a nominal fee- they have all your picnicking needs including restrooms, a sandy beach, a roped off swim area, kayak rentals, a pavillion, trails, fishing docks, and more. They also have a large children’s playground.
Parr Park– This public park in Grapevine offers a playground, walking trails, and a splashpad! There are also covered picnic areas, restrooms, work out stations, and more.
THE BEST PARKS IN ARLINGTON
California Lane Park– This Arlington park has 10 acres of trails, horseshoes, a splashpad, playground, and more.
Cliff Nelson Park– Take the kids fishing, play tennis, or hike over 15 acres of trails and fields at this park in Arlington. There is also a rec center, playgrounds, and picnic facilities.
Don Misenheimer Park– The playground in this park gets bonus points for their awesome sail shades. The playground equipment doesn’t get too hot but if the kids do, take them to the nearby splash pad. There are also sports courts, biking and hiking trails, picnic pavilions, and more.
J. Stovall Park– This 52-acre park in Arlington has all of your sports needs covered- fields, trails, picnicking areas, a playground, and a pool.
River Legacy Park– Bring your hiking shoes and your camera! You’ll find a playground, miles of trails, science programs, group exercise classes, a canoe-launch and more.
THE BEST PARKS IN FORT WORTH
Burnett Park– This spacious urban park in Fort Worth has a play area, sculptures, seating, and events like free yoga.
Cobb Park– Watch for tadpoles in the pond, go hiking, play on the playscapes, take selfies with the statues, and more at this park and aquatic center.
Fort Worth Water Gardens– You won’t find a playground here and you won’t care. This place is awesome and we don’t want to spoil it so just go!
Greenbriar Park– Bring your fishing gear to this awesome little pond and park in Fort Worth. They also have a playground, picnicking areas, walking trails, fitness classes, food trucks, canoeing, and more.
Tillery Park– You just have to check out the playground here- very unique! So much fun, you’ll play on it yourself!
Trinity Park– The kids will love the miniature train, and you’ll love the amenities. They have picnicking facilities, restrooms, trails, playgrounds, and a duck pond. Don’t miss Airfield Falls Conservation Park with an awesome sculpture, pavilion, and waterfalls.
