Grapevine’s annual wine festival, Grapefest, is scheduled for Sept. 17-20. You can sample award-winning Texas wines, take part in a grape stomp, and even entertain the kids with carnival and midway games. Here’s where the “cheap” comes in: All day Thursday (17th) and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday (18th), admission is free. Daily admission on all other days is $8, so if you can go when it first opens, this would be a great deal. (Sorry, wine isn’t included.)
