Friday, June 4:
Great American Scrapbook Convention, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Arlington Convention Center. Learn about scrapbooking if you’re a beginner and hone your craft if you’re an expert. Admission is $12 at the door. For pricing on workshops and other events at the convention, go here.
Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games, 5 p.m. to midnight, Maverick Stadium on UTA campus. Tickets start at $10 for adults. For info and activity lists, see here.
Saturday, June 5:
Great American Scrapbook Convention, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Arlington Convention Center. See Friday’s entry for details.
Michaels Kids’ Workshop, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Michaels craft stores. This is a free “Make-It-Take-It” event; the craft is an “I Love Dad” book. Get there early to ensure you get your supplies, since quantities are limited.

UTA Planetarium Movies, various times, UTA Planetarium in Arlington. Tickets are $4 each, except for the 2:30 p.m. movie, which is just $2. Today’s $2 movie is “The Princess and the Frog,” and there will be a Big Bird movie at 1 p.m. For a complete calendar, see here.
Kidtoons, Studio Movie Grill, 11 a.m. Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train is the featured movie for this week. Tickets are just $2. Available at the Addison, Arlington and Lewisville locations. Visit www.studiomoviegrill.com for tickets.
Arts District Stroll, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Take a guided walking tour of the Dallas Arts District. Tour begins outside the Crow Collection (2010 Flora St.). Free, but donations are appreciated.
Nature Hike, Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, 10 a.m. Join a naturalist for a guided nature hike on the center’s trails. Bring water. $5 admission, Center members are free. Visit www.fwnaturecenter.org for directions & details.
Concert in the Garden, 6:30 p.m., Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Featured band is the M-80s. Lawn passes are $16 in advance and free for kids 10 and under, though more expensive seats are available. (Parking is $10 per car.) Buy advance tickets here.
Sunday, June 6:
