Have you made your Easter meal shopping list yet? Yeah, I haven’t either. But I’ve got some great ideas now, thanks to the specials they’ve got going on at H-E-B. Now through April 4, H-E-B is having lots of good deals on Easter food items. If you buy an H-E-B spiral-sliced ham, fully-cooked brisket, or fully-cooked prime rib roast, you’ll get these eight items free:
H-E-B Tea, assorted varieties
32-oz package of Ball Park franks
Fresh Express salad (select varieties)
8-oz Kraft salad dressing
H-E-B Entertainer or Bite Size Deli Crackers, assorted varieties
H-E-B Creamy Creations Churn Style Ice Cream, 56 oz
Kraft Natural Chunk Cheese, assorted varieties
Handi-Foil oval or rectangular roaster
With these free items, you can pretty much make an entire Easter meal (and probably lunch the next day). To see more about this Easter meal deal, take a look at the weekly ad for your local store. H-E-B also has some Easter recipes here and instructions for egg crafts here.
In the Metroplex and nearby, you can find H-E-B stores in Cleburne, Waxahachie, Ennis, Stephenville and Corsicana.
Now, on to the giveaway: H-E-B will give one of my lucky readers a $20 H-E-B gift card. (Don’t forget that H-E-B gift cards are also good at Central Market.) To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post sharing what you plan to prepare for Easter dinner. You can also get extra entries by doing 2 other things:
Post this on Twitter: “Win a $20 H-E-B Gift Card from @fwcheap! https://bit.ly/djw3m3” (no quotes)
Become a fan of Fort Worth on the Cheap on Facebook. If you’re already a fan, leave a separate comment saying so, and include your Facebook name.
If you decide to do the extra entries, leave a separate comment for each extra entry.
I’ll draw for the gift card on Friday, April 2 at 12 p.m. central time. All entries must be in by 11:59 a.m. on April 2. The winner will receive an e-mail from me.
Eligibility: Only residents of Texas are eligible to enter this drawing.
Disclosure: This giveaway was sponsored by H-E-B, who offered to give one of my readers a gift card. No compensation was given to me by H-E-B for this blog post.
I plan on making ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, mac n cheese and rolls.
I will be making potato salad to use up some of those boiled eggs.
We prefer grilling to cooking inside on easter sunday. So we will have bbq ribs and grilled chicken that we will serve with grilled veggies, fresh melon and potato salad.
Would it be cheating if I confessed that I haven’t a clue yet what I’m making for Easter dinner? My family lives across the country, so it’ll just be my hubby and me.
I plan on having Ham, and all the fixins at a good friend’s home.
