Family Movies for $2 at Studio Movie GrillStudio Movie Grill just announced a new offering for families with kids: Weekend screenings of kids’ movies for just $2 per ticket. These “Kidtoons” showings take place every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. They’re only taking place at the Arlington, Lewisville and Plano locations (and the Copperfield location in Houston). The movies change once a month; March’s feature is Strawberry Shortcake’s “Berryfest Princess Movie.”

In a couple of weeks, Studio Movie Grill will also launch their “special needs screenings” so families with special-needs kids can still enjoy a day at the movies. The next screening is Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m., and the movie will be “How to Train a Dragon.” Children get in free, while adults pay regular price. This happens at the Arlington, Lewisville, Plano and Dallas/Royal locations. During these screenings, the sound is a little softer, the lights are a little brighter, and no one cares if someone makes noise or has to get up in the middle of the movie.
