steakoutlogoWhen I was in college in Alabama, one of my favorite things to do on a weekday night was order from Steak-Out. I didn’t have the time (or inclination) to make a steak dinner for myself, but one quick call to Steak-Out and I’d get a steak dinner – complete with potato, roll and salad – delivered right to my door.

Alas, when I moved to Texas, I found that there was no Steak-Out … until now. A new Steak-Out location – the first one in Texas, in fact – has popped up at 2209 W. Berry St. in Fort Worth, and they’re bringing that same fire-grilled goodness to residents of Cowtown.

As an added incentive to give Steak-Out a try, the owners of the Fort Worth location are offering a special exclusively for FWotC readers: A free skewer of shrimp with any $10 order. You’ll need a coupon, which you can find here. It expires Jan. 31, 2010. Be sure to mention the coupon when you place your order. Good only at the Fort Worth location.

If you’re located within a 3-mile radius of the restaurant, you can get your order delivered. If you’re not sure, call them at (817) 924-8585 to check. Pickup is also available no matter where you live. If you want to fax in an order, the number is (817) 924-8590. Their fax order form is here. Online ordering isn’t currently available.

Check out their menu here. Don’t care for steak? They also have burgers, chicken and, of course, shrimp. Kids’ meals are available, too.

The location is open at 10:30 a.m. everyday and closes at 9 p.m., except on Fridays and Saturdays, when they close at 10.

Now I want steak for lunch…
