tomthumbIf you’re a Tom Thumb shopper, don’t forget to print their “12 Days of Savings” coupons. Every day, they offer a coupon for a “free” item that you can print and redeem for one day only. I put the word “free” in quotes because, well, the item isn’t truly free – you have to make a $20 purchase to qualify for the free item, and you have to use your Tom Thumb card. But if you’re going to be there anyway, you might as well take advantage of the offer. Here’s the schedule of free items:

Dec. 17 – free Safeway brown or powdered sugar
Dec. 18 – Free 2-liter 7-UP
Dec. 19 – Free 5-lb bag Russet potatoes
Dec. 20 – Free breakfast sausage links
Dec. 21 – Free semi-sweet chocolate chips
Dec. 22 – Free mini-muffins
Dec. 23 – Free brown n’serve dinner rolls
Dec. 24 – Free 2-liter Safeway mixer (like club soda)

Click here to print your coupons. If you don’t have a Tom Thumb card, you can easily sign up for one at the customer service desk. (FYI: Randall’s club cards also work at Tom Thumb.) If you’re not already signed up for Tom Thumb e-mail alerts, you can do that here.

If you’re interested in saving even more at Tom Thumb, an easy way is via loadable grocery coupons. You attach them to your grocery club card via Internet sites, then the discounts automatically come off your total when you buy the appropriate item. Loadable coupon sites good at Tom Thumb include P&G ESaver, Cellfire and Shortcuts.

In Fort Worth, you can find Tom Thumb at 3000 S. Hulen, 6377 Camp Bowie Blvd. and 4700 Bryant Irvin. Stores also exist in Arlington, Hurst, Keller and most places within the Metroplex. Visit their website for hours and details.
